Also... we evaluate many situations in even less than 10 seconds... believe it or not... 10 seconds is a long time when already in the heat of an incident. Clearly other officers were on the scene longer as well and like i said above... we dont know all of the details that would be covered by sound... both on scene and over the radio.

Right, but, a few articles have cited that the cops on scene were using the cop cars to push the kid towards the fence while waiting for a taser equipped patrol car to arrive. Then out of nowhere, cop exits and unloads on the kid. Another fun caveat, the knife when removed from kid was not unfolded.

So why did the newest on comer to scene decide to just exit vehicle and shoot?

Releasing the video was dumb, cause to me and I am sure many other non LEO this looks like murder.

Yea someone filed for public access and they agreed it should be made available. IMO it completely ruins the aspect of an unbiased jury, which may come to the cops advantage. Who knows.

And ya know, just as I don't lump all cops being bad cause of one idiot, you don't have to defend every cop just cause you are a cop

I am only defending the truth and not the verdicts that the public may come to by watching a video.

Thats all. The cop that shot that black guy dead that was running away... i never once defended the officers actions.

Your Jersey Shore is leaking. If you are walking around the middle of the street in an altered state and have some sort of weapon in hand I do not think it will end well for you.

Really wish there was sound for us to make better judgment... but even then we need inside the officers mind as we are not in the heat of it, or forced to assess the situation in 10 seconds.
