For sure, and that's why I think anyone who goes needs to meet up with either a local contact to lead them around or find someone here who's either been or grew up there. Put a group of American tourists together and they just stick together in their comfort zone. It's not until you're force out of your comfort zone cuz you have no other Americans to relate to that you begin to be humbled and open your eyes.

I think that makes you a good parent... Shielding kids from reality is why they grow up naive and more susceptible to being taken advantage of... When kids know that private parts are private parts, and that those parts belong to the individual person... no one will ever get away with touching or hurting a child after the first time when the child tells, cause they know its wrong.... (Sorry that was the cop in me)

no, don't apologize. if anything I totally agree with you. I'd rather my kids break someones nose who tried to touch them there, my kid knowing that they are private then them thinking it's okay to have someone do that.
