Invest on one of those pager alarm system where it will page you if one of the sensor is trip. I had one on my Grand National and it was worth it. I was at the movies one night and it went off. I went right out to the car and had some jackass leaning on the trunk lid.

LOL yeah right...
this neighborhood WAS the semi upscale neighborhood, back in the 70s-early 80s but there are several near here that now have more expensive houses and what not.. but since the HOA fees are $1000+ a year it pays for security and what not.
the ironic thing is several years ago (like back in the mid 90s or so) there was a string of burgleries and one of our former neighbors was going out of town and was worried about her garage being broken into due to a broken door... she really had nothing to worry about other than the fact taht her daughters boyfriend who was staying in her basement ended up being arrested for the burgleries

I live in a simi shitty neighborhood and actually just last night I look out my window and there's three dip shits leaning over my rear hatch (had my two JL audio Amps sitting on the deck back there) and by the time I got outside to have a discussion with them and my breaker bar they were gone. Nothing broken into but I did yank my stereo stuff. Called the police and let them know that there had been several people looking as if they were prawling cars to see what was in there and asked if the police would come down my street as they're patroling and was told "we don't do special patrols becaue someones afraid they're car will be broken into. You need to call us when something actually happens." Well, you know what you lousy POS bitch on the phone, if my alarm goes off I'll call the ambulance for the POS that I bashed in the face with my breaker bar. If you're trying to steal shit from me, you better just shoot me if you see me and you better make it count or your mommy will next see you in a box. Sorry, I hate piss poor thiefs.... get a real job douchebag!

If there are lights outside by your driveway, definitely leave those on at night. I guess that one's kind of obvious, but I wouldn't try to break into a car in a well lit area if I was a thief.
