How to prevent car break-ins?
There have been a ton of car break-ins around me lately. My neighbor across the street had his brand new Jeep broken into (They busted the freakin window) and they stole his GPS system and a few other things. A friend of mine down the street had his avalanche broken into 2 weeks ago also, but IDK what was stolen from it (they also busted the window).
I dont have anything too valuable inside my Formula, but still.. It kinda stands out. Its parked outside too.
What can I do to help protect it from being broken into? I'm already looking at car alarms, but IDK what else I could do to protect it.
I just cant believe that people actually have the nerve to break into peoples cars and steal stuff that isnt theirs. IDK how they can justify this crap. Its rediculas. Instead of earning their own damn money, they steal shit from other people.

Well, I have the same thing in my neighborhood also. Left my radar dect. in the window this spring and they broke the window and took it but left my revo sunglasses on the visor alone...
My suggestion is to make sure nothing is "visible" to them...if it looks like there is nothing to steal then they usually move on to the next one where they know they are going to get something...
The stock alarm is worthless if the break a window. only if they are stupid enough to open the door...

Keep an ear out for loud noises, keep a gun by your side

Other than car alarms and physical violence when you catch them, I dont know what else you can do (just beat em' good before the cops get there).
If they were trying to steal the car itself, you could come up with some good power kill switches to the battery or something. Maybe even pull the coil wire or something real quick.....Nick

I'm kinda bad about keeping things in my car. I have about $250 in detailing supplies in my trunk, and a carpet shampooer. I dont think anyone whos breaking into a car would want ot steal that, but ya never know.

I'll be taking all that stuff out tommrow and giving my Formula a good clean out (will probibly put that shampooer to good use and clean my carpets up while I'm at it).

Yup f-bodys are pretty easy to break in to because they don't have the frame above the windows. Don't keep anything valuable in it, because typically they won't break in to try to steal it. Also put an alarm on it. Other than that, buy a garage or make sure it has full coverage.

put a snake in your car... no lie though... that's what truck drivers do to make sure no one takes their stuff while they're away from their semis
