Most can be handled by pleading no contest and explainging your situation and that the issues have been fixed. He may throw them out all together, lower the fines (unlikely), or asses court costs (which are usually the amount of the citation) and withold adjudication on the points.

One thing to keep in mind is that there's a fine line betwen explaining your "situation" and trying to prove why you are not guilty. Unfortunately I have been in traffic court on more then one occasion (we'll just leave it at that). I have seen it MANY times where some one would plead no contest then try and prove thier case (1hottcamaro is guilty of this miatake). The judge asks "so you are saying you didn't do it?" No, I...... "set date fro trial on x/x/x"
If you plead no contest just explain that you did not know the tag was dirty because the car sat and you have cleand it and everything is fully visible.

The same goes for the tires, you are not arguing that they were unsafe (legally they were), you just want to show him that they are fixed now.

You may just have to eat the exhaust ticket unless you can do somthing to quiet it down.

I thingk that it would be a bad idea to plead not guilty and try and deny the charges.

You also have to blame some of this on our economy. The county and state is doing WHTEVER they have to do to bring in more revenue. They are pushing for the cops to wright citations for anything and everything they can.
eating one is fine eating 3 i cannot do, i guess id end up with a bench warrent on that one lol. i do understand the economy an i believe the end of the month didnt help out to much, im going to take ur advice and most likely plead no contest, i may have to eat the tires one unless i can get my hands on some cheap used ones. or borrow my dads or somethin idk, what do u think i could do to quiet it down a bit (where its legally loud) just to get outta that charge too if it would cost more then the ticket theres really no point. dammit i hate cops!

Why would you get a bench warrant? Another thing that you can do while at court is ask for more time to pay them.

Anything to quiet the car down at this time is going to cost more than the ticket. If you can have someone weld your stock muffler back on with a cat or even a bullit style muffler in the intermediate pipe (dont mess up your ORY) it would quiet it down enough to pass.

If you want to permanantly quiet it down without negatively effecting power, Id put a magnaflow cat back on it (it should pick up quite a bit over a flowmaster). Stephs car is not "stock" quiet, but under normal cruising it is mellow, but it is pretty loud at WOT. That is somthing to look into when the funds permit.

If you wanted it to be obnoxious at times add a cut out for those "special occasions"

well dont they issue a bench warrent when u dont pay ur fines? yea i think im going to have to ask for a 90 extention for sure i think im going to get some band clamps and put a 2.5 bullet i have off my truck on there temporary between the stock piping and the off road y. if thats not enough i may make an attempt to put the stock muffler on it but i doubt i will get that far... stephs car sound just as loud as mine she picks up brit for the gym and i can hear everywhere she goes and when shes about to show up even from inside the house lol but hers sounds alot better then mine and slightly mellower then mine too but when the cop pulled me over i was in 5th cruising at 47mph and its quiet with the air on inisde the car u can hardly hear it lol. thanks again for ur imput an advise phil.

ya i dont want to lose my licence or go to jail, i talked to another cop tonight a cool one lol, he said there basicly a slim chance i will walk away without paying atleast 2 of the fines, an he said he thinks the tag one will only be reduced to s $67.50 ticket and i will have to pay full cost of the other tickets. but he said plead no contest and hope for the best ask for an extention, im going to go to court once plea no contest then go to the hearing he said then i ask for the extention at that time. he said since the officer is a sargent my odds are not very good he is the supervising officer so then there would be no point in fileing a complaint ether. he didnt like the cop that pulled me over ether lol.

Can they give me a ticket if I am driving the car? Even though they have already wrote Paul a ticket for the same thing?
