it's been a long time coming. 12s finally.
Went out to the new ZMax drag strip tonight here in Concord, NC. Wasn't going to run at first but got peer pressured into going home and getting the car so I did. Came back and got a few races in.
Out of the 3 races I got I only got a time slip for the first, which ironically enough was my best run, and my 12 second slip.
RT: .756
60': 2.129
1/8: 8.541
MPH: 87.26
ET: 12.99
MPH: 111.51
The other two runs I ran some friends a was nervous and launched horribly and ran like a 13.0 and 13.4. I'm just glad at actually hitting 12s, granted this was my best 60' yet, I think if I cut it to under a 2.0 60' I'll hit 12.7s at ~113/4ish. Next time to the track I'm going to borrow a friends 275 Nitto DRs and unbolt the sway bar endlinks and see what happens. My 315 Nitto 555s DID hook up but I hated cleaning them off and wearing them down since they're brand new and were quite a pretty penny.

What's your suspension/tire setup currently?
With traction, mid 12's are EASILY doable. Congrats on your 12sec slip though.

haha. Well I'm running Edelbrock coilovers and the IAS shocks in the back with BMR springs with the hose mod so the car is slammed. I have 32/23mm sway bars and I'm running Nitto's 555 Extremes 275 front and 315 rears.
NOT a drag racing setup at all. haha. Minus the big tire out back.

oh forgot to mention I've got LCAs, relos, PHB and TA as well. I just need a decent tire and a good 60' without being scared of grenading the rear-end.
Friend of mine with the exact same motor, but with BONE stock suspension and a set of Nittos on 16" wheels ran a 12.3x at 114 I believe with a 1.8 60'. I'd shit a brick if I hit 12.5s let alone 12.3s. Granted he can drive his balls off.

I hope so. I just found out that next Friday is another TNT night so I'm going to try to get everything fixed up and ready before then. I wanna see 12.7s this time at ~112+. I think I can do it with a decent launch.
And I was hoping to do a little bit of porting on the heads or 4.10s here soon, only problem now is that I think the clutch might be getting a bit old...something else...
