    Default 383 Rotating assembly help

I was looking into running a forged compstar 383 rotating assembly but all the ones I have found come with Mahle pistons. I have been told not to spray on these. Is there anywhere I can get the same crank and rods with different pistons that is still a balanced assembly? What pistons should I run with say 150 or 175 shot without any problems?

I would think a Mahle Piston would be ok for 150-200. Just gap the rings for nitrous and make sure you dont lean it out or detonate. My buddy has the powerpak ones and gonna run 150-200. They are forged pistons.

Very nice kit, hope you are getting the 6" rod set up!

My buddy is building a 383 ls1 and the guys at texas speed said they wouldn't recommend it at all. Yes I am gonna run the 6" rod and I have heard really good things about the compstar setup.

Do you have a link to one of the sites that sells it?

If they are forged you should be fine the only problem I can see is too high of a CR. Mahle pistons are normally pretty darn good for a variety of setups.
    Yep its slow.

I know AI sells the compstar forged 383 rotating assembly. Who can I go through to get a better set of pistons and keep it all balanced?
