this past weekend i got the scavenge pump installed and plumbed along with temporary cooling system. fired it off and pretty sure 110% my fault i caused the turbo to leak oil into both sides of the turbo. i figured i would let it run for a min or 2 to get oil in the return line full so the pump would easily prime and scavenge (supposed to be self-priming). may have waited too long because then oil was blowing out of the exhaust all over my garage, and had a minor amount of oil in the compressor side of turbo/elbow off turbo and a teaspoon size puddle in the charge pipe.
i have a hard 10an 90 off the bottom of the turbo, a few are saying this is a no-no, yet plenty of rear mount/low mount guys use the same fitting arrangement without issue. other possibility is my cold oil pressure is too high (80ish psi), vs racing said i can run a 0.060-0.065 restrictor as well. it was late sunday, it stopped smoking and cleared up once it was hot, but there was already a mess in the downpipe/chargepipe. i did verify pump direction etc.LTX Hoarder

ill get it sorted. i have a long radius full flow 90 coming for it instead of the street style tight 90, also an extended turbo drain. i spoke to vs and they advised to use a restrictor if i have a high pressure oil pump, which i do.

sorry for the lack of updates. has been chaotic and cold here. i did get the oil system mostly resolved i believe. adding a vibrant restrictor/drain extension and long radius 90 it did not smoke the last time i ran it thankfully. i messed with the throttle blade adjustment and went too far, hot iac was 0 lol. then it got too cold to be out in the garage. Hoping i can order a radiator in a few weeks and get that done, also been trying to get to daves for a front bumper, and still gotta get down to ryans for that stuff.

Thanks for the update, I had a feeling it was too cold to work on it. I have good heaters in my shop and have been cleaning and organizing the dump while its so cold out.
Ordered a bunch of parts yesterday to resume the '57 project now that I can move around in the shop again.
Looking foward to seeing your turbobird videos this spring.

Griffin radiator is ordered to finish the stand up radiator install along with the mighty mouse fan shroud i got from @shownomercy . Still have to figure out fuel system. I THINK i am gonna just do an external pump actuated by a hobbs switch since the tank bung and bracket are already there from @Injuneer original nitrous setup. throw another 340lph pump in that spot and some good injectors.
