Random question... Has anyone ever had a somewhat positive experience with aftermarket bumper covers? I need both and have been having a really tough time finding OE ones that aren't spider cracked.

Mine took some work to line up well. Was not terrible but was a couple hours of sanding.

I've had an Ebay front cover also. I actually liked it a little better than the original because it was a thicker plastic. The only thing mine didn't have was a recessed provision for a factory emblem.

Isn't that a plus? I like my smooth bumper.

I didn't mind it being smooth but the listing on mine didn't say either way. If someone did want it, they'd better ask before they buy. I liked the thicker material because I gutted everything behind the bumper cover.

That doesn't sound too bad. I actually was going to have the emblem shaved anyway, so ebay it is I guess. Wonder if it's the same as the $50 Rockauto one.
Maybe I'll take a chance on the rear one too bc mine is pretty beat up.

I am not sure on the brand I have but it was not like the other poster's in regards to thickness. Mine is paper thin

The Rockauto one is p/n GM1000157 which is what 90% of the ebay ones are listed under.
Someone said that the stock front bumpers are yellowish urethane which would mean my current bumper is definitely aftermarket (black plastic underneath) although it has the emblem. Fits like garbage so I guess whatever I buy can't be much worse. Anyone know if the OE rears are also urethane? Mine is also plastic...
