Well, I've held off on this post for awhile but the engine currently in the car will be pulled in favor for a LS1. I have the LS1 already refreshed and will be ready by mid-week. The majority of the T56 parts...Bell, slave, Line, Tick Bleeder, and LS7 Clutch/Flywheel are here. The RSG conversion kit is in the mail. I have everything to rewire the harness myself but am still on the fence (aka lack confidence) as to whether or not to just spend the money on a new harness from BP. The car should be done well before Crusin in the spring.
FWIW, I'm not leaving LTXtech, nor getting rid of my LT1's. I just refreshed a LT w/ a LT4 Hotcam and will be dropping it into a friends 94 Z. My engine (if I don't find a 96+ B-body wagon first) will be demodded and possibly shoehorned into my 94 4wd GMC Jimmy with a Astro Tcase and front axle. LT1 4dr Typhoon clone sounds like a cool idea.2012 Sierra - 5.3, Summit "Stage 1" Truck Cam

Sahara54's Formula build thread
Bone stock...I just did a refresh. With the issues I’ve had I just want to drive the damn thing and the safest way was stock. I may boost this motor down the road but a 5.3 will be acquired eventually and be gapped and LS9 cam for the boost. Guys pass CA smog on that combo so that gives me some hope down the line.
Did have a little setback. UPS lost my damn T56 conversion. There is house about 10 miles from me with the same address just different zip that they delivered it to. I went there to ask if they’ve seen the box since we always accidentally get each other’s stuff...well they moved, house is for sale and completely abandoned. UPS still dropped it there...wtf. Rockland said they will make it right but still have to go through the insurance and attempt to reclaim by UPS.

Ugh! WTF
Are you rebuilding your LT1 T56 or was the donor a T56 car? I don't remember.
I recently picked up a CHEAP 6.0 ($200, gen 4), and the plan is to eventually be rebuilt and put in the 3rd gen. Not sure which direction to go on the trans.
Any updates since your last response?

Converting my LT1 T56...donor was a 60e.
Nice, my friends have 2 LS 3rd gens and currently swapping a Malibu wagon.
Update: UPS is fucking stupid. They showed up Monday at my house to pick up the package for the reclaim. I feel bad for my route driver cause it’s a different dude than the other route but I let him know how I felt about UPS. Gonna call rockland today after my night work half-a-nap..lol

I know they aren't a sponsor but Rockland Standard Gear's customer service is on point. So after UPS called it a loss, Rockland called me at about 4:45 last night to ship me a new kit. It was in my hands at 10am this morning. I told them to not rush it due to time not being a issue but they still over-night'd it. In regards to sponsors, a new harness from BP Automotive has been ordered. Don't have to worry about crunchy wires and brittle connectors now from a 19 year old LS harness plus I don't have to re-pin and extend everything.

Insurance claims with USPS, UPS, and Fedex are a joke. Glad it worked out in the end!
