Intake elbow ripped, anyone make there own?
I am taking my car apart to do my cam swap and I noticed my intake elbow is completly ripped all the way around the edge of the throttlw body.
I was looking at buying a cheap intake off eBay but I don't really like the small diameter of the tubing.
Has anyone made there own intake on here?
If found several writeups but most of them the pictures don't show up anymore.
Another question would be is it even worth it? The stock air box pulls air from outside of the engine bay witch has got be much better than sucking from under the hood.et

Supporting MemberResident ghetto pvc intake guy here. The elbow off the tb is the pain in the ass part. Honestly, I'd buy a regular trickflow elbow then build off that after maf. Or get a 4" to 3.5" silicone reducer, extend maf wiring, and get a 3.5" 60 degree bent Dr gas pipe and go over the rad, but that involves cutting.
The stock intake is restrictive due to size/shape and baffles. My ghetto pvc intake definitely made more power over my k&n cai

I have a stock rubber elbow if you need one. The ceramic TF isn't too expensive if you want to upgrade.

I bought a cheap aluminum one off flee abay many years ago called "airforce LTOne" worked great and still have it, just on my Buick since I did the lid style intake on the camaro. I want to say it was 30 bucks back then. Worth a look.
