My range at our farm is now officially marked to 1,000 with a little more room to go. Sooooo.... I'm selling a couple of my guns to buy a Ruger Precision Rifle in Creedmoor. I'll probably just be putting cheaper glass on it until my car is done. Any suggestions on sub-$400 glass that will go 1,000 and beyond is appreciated.

Anyone have any experience/opinions on the RPR? Everything I see looks good and my local gun shop has a hard time keeping them on the shelf.

I need to come down there and try that range out. I have been looking for a longer range around St. Louis that doesn't cost $250 to joint plus $250 a year.

I have a Gen II lined up with my local shop. He had some just a couple weeks ago but he was sold out yesterday when I went to go put my hands on one. I'm on his list so as soon as he gets one in Creedmoor- it's mine. Hopefully sooner than later.

It'd be a trip for you, but you're welcome to if you'd like. Just shoot me your number and I'll let you know any time I'm out there.

I like what I have going out there. Works for me anyway. I'll see if I can find some pictures. I have pistol steel 0-50 yards marked every 10, some AR500 steel 0-300 marked every 100. Then a mobile steel target that is 400-1000 marked every 100.

I need to get more steel. I've spent the winter running the chainsaw and clearing things out so more targets can be ran. Still have a way to go and more steel to buy.
