I have used the Victor Reinz 5898 gaskets with with no problem.

They are thin and boost compression a lil compared to the stock GM or Fel Pro 1074 gaskets.

Cometics are real nice BUT they are a lil picky about deck surface and if its a stock block with factory machine work they sometimes do not like that.

I believe that the Mr Gaskets are the same gasket as the VR 5898 BUT they used to be packaged "shrink wrapped" to the cardboard and when you remove the gasket from the package it would damage the gasket. This was years ago and maybe they fixed this prioblem but i remember it being a problem at one time.

My friend has the VRs on his Roadmaster without issues. I've also read they're repackaged for Mr. Gasket and Mahle, should be the same.

I liked the VR set I got. Valve cover gaskets are nice and pliable, head gaskets were clean and very well made. And the exhaust gaskets were bad ass but didn't work with my headers. Even came with a thermostat o ring and a few other odds and ends.

mustangs can run..... but birds will fly!!!
