IMO, and its easy since it ain't my money but, do your whole fuel system at once. Run 8an for at least the feed and use stock 6an feed for return. Get dual 044 pumps in the tank, or the new 340s from aeromotive and be done with it. That will give you the room to stretch that blower out safely and if you do upgrade the head unit later you are still safe.

Also, be sure you can find a nice welder to make up that elbow off inlet so you can snake the filter down in reverse factory CAI location.

I thought the stock lines were fine for twin 255s and should be enough for 700+?
I will be running the Motown parallel rails also. Not sure if I'll ever upgrade to another head unit because I'm already pretty limited with the Mahles.

I know... if I was going to upgrade the lines, then I would want to make the whole system compatible with E85. Will end up costing a small fortune, especially considering injectors/pumps, but it would be nice to take advantage of those LS flex fuel sensors. I'll look into it.

If you know then why did you ask? It's nice you have e85 near you as its very limited in my area.

Curious as to why you don't recommend running a 2 bar map?

AFAIK, you chop your resolution in half with the 2bar MAP and LT1 PCM.

Well, either way you are fooling the PCM, how does a 1bar MAP "see" boost?
