    It's only mounted at two spots, up high and down low. The other brackets won't reach over the valve covers. I'm just overly dissatisfied with them and they will probably leak with my luck.

    Doing the harness tomorrow, shouldn't take me long. Still don't know how I'm mounting coils. Original plan won't work.

    I'm too anal about everything

    That is why you do not run mailboxes as valve covers.

    But, I have never run the silly factory brace for the alternator and no issues. Two bolts through case and good to go.

    Could you mount them inside the wiper cowl or just under it where they can't be seen, then just run wires down the firewall and out to the plugs?

    Is a valve cover that big required for rocker clearance?

    Sounds like more trouble than it's worth. I've never had a problem with stock valve covers and a little trimming... I'm still using them actually.
