I used to hate them. Not because I'd ever shot one, but because of the idiots who pushed their opinions as if it was the only gun that should exist. Doing research it was between the M&P, XD and Glock and the Glock just felt right. Also very simple and I've always been a fan of simple.

It was the first gun i ever shot... in the academy (we could buy and bring our own). I used my 17 to leave with the sharpshooter award.

Glock 23, thoughts?

Have shot 300rds through it without one issue. It's my new favorite. I know a lot of po-lice who have one as an off duty. Reason I carry the 23 now instead of the 30 is because there is less recoil and more handle. Seems I have to reset my hands about every other round when shooting the 30. You can't go wrong with either 19 or 23.

I think you cant go wrong with ANY Glock man. Honest.

As long as you can shoot it comfortably.

That last part is what worries me. NJ means no CC ever, so just a bedside firearm. But the size aspect concerns me.

Ok, well Im gonna be honest with you. If its home security, my best suggestion is a nice shotgun. professionally cut down, with pistol grip. Alternate SLUG and Buck shot.
