I ran a th400 in my car for about a year then pulled that bitch and went back to a 60e. Several converter changes and still wouldn't sixty for shit unless I geared it up maybe some 4.56 would have done it.

Mines gone a 1.45 off a dead Idle so far with a nitrous converter ,3.89 gears and a 28 inch tall tire. Hopefully can get it back to those times.
What kind of converter did you have jeff?
Just got the trans all apart. The seal on the pump blew out. The clutches on the forward drum had some heat on the frictions. Gonna replace those . Rollerize the output shaft and might put some straight cut planitaries in it if I can find them.
So I'm happy . Didn't hurt anything really. Needs a new pump and forward clutches and that's it. Gonna run a Teflon seal on the pump thus time.

I ran a PTC converter best 60 was a 1.48 with a 4:10 gear or maybe a 3:73 I don't remember. lol
So it sounds like the trans will be covered by your trans guy correct if so that's good newsLast edited by Badhawk; 06-22-2015 at 06:56 PM.

That is great news kyle. Glad to hear it. I'm taking the car out Wednesday night. You going to try and make it again this weekend? We should meet up somewhere
