Well Friday I got pretty dehydrated. It was 87 out, and I was out all day for 10 hours. I ended up drinking 2.5 gallons of water but it still wasn't enough. Went to the gym on Saturday to bench and had a shit day. Only managed 275 for 3. Followed it up with a mild chest workout, didn't push too hard. I weighed 202 on the nose. Went back in on Sunday and weighed 205, lol. Had a great workout on Sunday.

So today me and my girl went in to train shoulders, but I wanted to see if I could bench first, because my chest wasn't sore at all. Warmed up real quick and banged out 275 for 7. I weighed 206 today. I've been using Tiger Balm on my shoulders and using a tight shirt to keep the heat in. Seems to work real nice. My girl benched 100 for 3.5 reps. I had to slightly touch the bar on the 4th rep. She weighed 112 today. I figure she could probably do 120-125 right now. She's been busting her ass and it shows!

Ugh you were right @joelster started hard on tri's thus week and woefully weak there compared to other lifts. Definitely hindering bench..going to hit them 2x a week for 6 weeks and see what happens.

Crush them! I like to do dips after a solid bench day. It works the chest and tri's real good. Then finish up the tri's with a nice isolation movement such as an overhead cable pressdown. Focus on keeping the upper arm perfectly still. Or use a set of dumbells and either do a 2-handed overhead extension or single arm overhead extensions.

Dufus is absolutely correct about dips. EZ bar skull crushers are also effective. Just be careful of the amount of weight used. Standing DB extensions are another good one.

Apparently they aren't very effective for you, lol. Or is it just something that you read online somewhere?

Wondering if you use have belts for different days of the week like your ball caps. When are you going to teach him how to injure shit that has nothing to do with said lift? Probably why you wear a belt for bench. Something in that core of yours is broke!
