Not talking trash but just curious why the numbers went down with each run tubby? Mine always seem to go up after a few runs and of course jump around if the car is cooled between. But overall seem to go up as everything warms up and moves easier I assume.

3 pulls back to back to back, no cool down, room got hot, and I had valve float which was making the knock sensor go nuts and pull timing. A week later a gmpp rocker failed on me, so yeah. For the mileage and auto, it did pretty damn well. And pulled hard on the street when I put 3.73's in. The kid I sold it to is still beating the living hell out of it, and the heads have still never been off the motor

Thanks to whoever adusted my photos where they arent 8 times the size of the screen! ha.

Helltee1, i cant get to your attatchment?

tubby just curious about comparison, did i understand you were running 1.6 rockers on the dyno or no? im just trying to add up the difference and figure out where i might be missing some or what i can gain.

I'm with yall on thinking theres probably 20 horses in 1.6 rockers.
not sure on the exhaust but theres gotta be some left there.
i dont have an air foil, seems theres a lot of debate on proven results there, but i can see how it makes sense.

Also for what its worth, std is worth a little power vs sae corrected. Edit: i just did a ton of reading on this and i guess it as most things is very debatable. It seems it changes the temperature and depends on that. Anyway thats a whole different story ha. On our dyno it seems to show up highest uncorrected, but not by much maybe 5 hp
I cant wait to add some more stuff and dyno it along the way tracking the progress.

On another less important note, I got my "synthetic suede" dash cover in today. it looks pretty good in my opinion. Anyone got any ideas on that ugly broken vent? I was thinking of maybe just removing the broken parts and cleaning it up in there real well...

std wasnt actually that far off for the conditions of the day. so knock off 13whp. still good for a hotcam thru an auto, motor was nice and loose. yes i was running 1.6 rockers.

same rear gear as my father inlaws LE2 heads/cam stalled car, i was quicker on the bottom than he was. at 5200rpm and up he would pull away, but down low from 3000-5000 we were dead nuts even.

Oh ya those are great numbers im just trying to compare mine to them ha, we really did bore mine close too, so its tight.

I guess that makes sense on the heads car, little less power down low and more up high getting a little bath tub effect.

Did you notice quite an increase in the seat of the pants feel when going from 273 to 373 gears? I feel like this car just doesnt suck me back in the seat enoguh ha.

^what he said. Night and day difference. The 3.42 in the heads cam car now work well, work even better with the supercharger, but the 3.73 I had in my car woke it waaaay up on the street. Like traction became an issue alot below 40 mph with good tires unless I heated em up first

well yall got me drooling over parts once again ha it will probaly be a month or so before im able to put some more money into it, but in the meantime i'm going to keep my eyes open for a used exhaust or i might settle for a used 342 rear if i came across one. either way im sure soon i will add something else to it ha.

For now I'm going to work on my tune some more.
Also i want to dyno it again with the y pipe open and see how much of an increase that gets.
Cant wait till a 1/4 close somewhere opens back up so i can see if i can at least get in the 13's ha!

Thanks for all the comments and help guys ill keep you updated!

zoomo, here's the aforementioned dyno graph attachment. Not sure why it didn't show up in the previous post. Again, sorry for the poor photo/scan quality. It peaks right around 6k and more or less holds to ~6300-ish. The red numbers were from previous pulls with the stock engine with headers/bolt-ons. I have the hard copy here at my house and it's somewhat clearer, you can actually read the a/f ratio at the bottom. I can email it to you if you like. One notable thing about that cam I used, it actually seemed to like less timing than stock. When we added timing, it actually lost about 4-5rwhp. Wish I had retained/saved that tune file before I changed to my current setup.
Used cat-back exhaust should be easy to find for a few bucks. Lots of people parting out these cars nowadays. Hell most of my current setup I put together from parts I bought used.
