    Default Temp sensor

I didn't know where to put this, but here goes:

While installing my headers and cutting through the EGR tube with a sawzall, I cut the wire of the temperature sensor that goes into the block on the passenger side under the exhaust manifold. The sensor was bad anyway, and I can splice the wire no problem.

Would the wire being cut or the sensor being disconnected affect the way the car runs at all? Repeat, the sensor was not functional to begin with.

    Thanks!

No, that only goes to the gauge. The only one that would make the car run different is the one in the water pump. That one is monitored by the ECU.

splicing it won't hurt it but I would use the type of splice that has heat a shrink seal, or solder it and shrink wrap it so you can get a somewhat accurate reading on the gauge.

Awesome! Thanks guys, I knew that it was for the gauge. I was just double checking to make sure I could go without it for awhile. Thanks again fellas!

Ahh, guess I should've guessed from the name and avatar since a car wasn't listed.
