I want a set. And only need the spacers. I can get bolts and gaskets, and I have an ewp so dont need the drive coupling. (Im not worried about clearance. )

That's where my head is with the right now. I've thrown the idea out on here, and on a few facebook pages, just to see what the reaction is. I know that when the machinist has a hunk of stock clamped into a machine and the program written, the first (and possibly some of the second) is all cost. Its the third, fourth, fifth, etc ones that are all profit. I'm hoping he will work with me on price if I order say 5 sets at a time. It may take me a year to sell them all, but if I can get the price down to the point they'll sell, then its worth it. I'll see what kind of feedback I get over the next few days and go from there.

I'm in the same boat you're in. All the room in the world! I'll get you a set made as soon as we get an idea how many orders I can safely make

Exactly. I would equate this purchase to the equivalent to those little packets of antisieze they push on you when you buy spark plugs at the parts store. No reason to get in there until there's a problem with the opti. But at that time, the spacer should be considered preventative "i gotta change my opti blues" maintenance.

This is a great idea. This will make doing cap and rotor changes more frequent. You should consider offering this to the Impala B-body crowd, they are more prone to buying convenience and dress up items for their cars, plus their extra room in the engine compartment really compliments this mod. Consider posting this up on the many various LT1-Fbody, Impala B-body facebook pages. I guarantee you will get a far larger reaction.

I would DEFINITELY include everything as a kit. No doubt about that. Giving a 100% everything included kit makes people quite happy.

Price point? I have an understanding of how much goes into the CNC setup. For what it's costing you, the $150 isn't off at all. It's just hard to get people to bite off on it to spend $150 for a convenience item. The place that's actually doing the CNC work to these......are they willing to give a break in price concurrent with volume ordered? Maybe do a pre-order at a slightly discounted rate (I.E. cut your profits initially) for a specified amount of sets in order to gauge general interest, and if it's there, do orders in batches to help keep costs down? batch sales is how I am going to sell the opti mod, 20 the first production run, to guage the interist.
