    Nope that's the M28

M28 has shorter 1st gear, Same 2nd gear (as the M29), longer 3rd gear, same 4th, same 5th (as M29), and same 6th

    edit: taken from sd.org

    GR - M28 -- M29 -- 94+
    1 -- 3.36 -- 2.97 -- 2.66
    2 -- 2.07 -- 2.07 -- 1.78
    3 -- 1.35 -- 1.43 -- 1.30
    4 -- 1.00 -- 1.00 -- 1.00
    5 -- 0.80 -- 0.80 -- 0.74
    6 -- 0.62 -- 0.62 -- 0.50

So it has slightly shorter gears all around except 4th

I still think that the car had different gears, the damn thing still had manifolds and the stock tailpipes, what the hell???

How did you finish with a slower time but a faster mph.... and the camaro finished a faster time but slower mph, but he still won... Wouldnt that mean he had to be goin faster then 103?????

Maybe I'm out of it but ?/????? lol

yup, the 93 had a .036 better light, and a .16 better 60' time. he's quicker off the line, and I'm faster out the back. different cars run differently, evo's will run high 13's, but run 99-100mph with a really low 60', where most f-bodies will have a worse 60', but will have higher trap speeds.

My recommendation to you would be to just keep practicin' and also get that thing tuned if you haven't already. You're definitely not getting the full benefit of those mods if you lack a tune currently.

Obviously slicks are a logical step to take here as well, but you said it yourself, no busted rear-end so thats out lol.

dont worry too much...not all 93s are that quick. with my listed mods my best run is a 14.2. but its also getting close to 200,000 on the clock and the last owner beat the hell outa it.

they both have a shorter first gear (Two different M6s in 93s).

One is substantially shorter = M28

and the other is just a bit shorter than the 94+ = M29

I posted the ratios in this thread earlier

Not mine! I cant hardly get my car to move from a hole shot on the street. Its all about track prep though. Thats what got me the 1.93 60' on street tires.

Lucky for me, I picked up a set of DR's. So no more worries in the traction department.

the local track here is nicknamed spinworld, even big tired drag slick cars have issues half the time here, especially on test and tune nights, and if you're on street tires, you can pretty much forget about hooking up. Everyone that I know that runs there with street tires hook better on the street than there, I've spun hitting 2nd there the last two times, and on the street I can only get a good bark.
