No... never even applied with the state police. S.P is mostly traffic, and as fun as that is at first...personal interaction and being a part of a specific community allows much more chance to make more differences in peoples lives. That was more of what I wanted. In fact, Im going on 5 years + of not writting a traffic citation.

There is a officer in wentzville, about 20 miles from me...he is notorious there lol, every week he gets at least $1200 in citations

WOW! now theres a guy who really wants to make a difference!---- NOT!!!
I never liked the idea of writing tickets and the agency I trained with point blank said " We dont write tickets we take care of REAL crime" and that was enough for me to take a liking to the Kern County Sheriffs Dept.
I wish I had the honor to become a LOE but I guess everything happens for a reason and it didnt happen and who knows maybe my x wife was right and I would have went out one night and came back in a bag because her so called "visions" were rarely wrong and it did kind spook me.

Btw.. 1200 on citations a week is less than 10 tickets a week.

We just had 8 inches or so and it's going pretty strong out there , I love hitting all the back road's , making the first track's.
We haven't had very good winter weather the last few years this reminds me of when I was a kid when we had some snow .
