Ya that's what I was thanking. If we go that route. I got a friend that owns a flooring company. So I get my carpet ect. at cost. And he will help me install it for a case of beer. And my family owns a stone company with a site in Salina. So I cam get stone for free. Just depends if we can find something I guess lol

Most state jobs, at least in NJ, have a 90-120 probationary period.

Really? Out here its 1 year. Now if you mean probationary until you get your health benifits etc, then yes 90 days here...but till your no longer an AT WILL employee...its 1 year.

Yes, after 90 or 120 days depending on the department you are a permanent employee. They need an act of god to get rid of someone after that. A fellow employee after 8 months of employment jacked up our boss at work. He was escorted off the grounds by 2 troopers. He received a 30 day suspension to be taken how he saw fit. He chose Fridays and Mondays for nice long weekends. He was transferred out of the building but remained in the same department and retrained for a different job which happens to be a promotion. You can't make this shit up!
