As much as I hate to say it...it was probably a vol. FF or Fire Police. Here we're not allowed to run blue lights unless you have "Chief" in your title but flashing white (wig-wags) are legal. I don't know how PA is with that law.

But I do agree...I hate posers/wackers/nozzle nuts/flare jockeys/Yard breathers and Lawn Darts. They do something stupid and make us all look bad.

In pa... Blue lights are the col fire lights... Unless chiefnor Lt...then they have red. And fire police (traffic control guys) have red/blue just like an police car....

This guy was either a chief or Lt...or someone playing an dangerous game.

I saw a poser once with red lights so I followed him with my brights on (in my truck) doushe move...ya...but it makes me mad

Be careful doing that. If he is actually is actually a FF responding to an emergency, his vehicle becomes an emergency vehicle and falls under the same rules as a ambulance/firetruck/patrol car when you hinder their response.

Also, many Fire Marshal's are unmarked cruisers. Since they are government they get Vic's just with red lights. I'm sure its the same here as it is there in MO, but fire marshal's are sworn peace officers with the same authority as police.

Improper use of highbeams...500' of on coming traffic or 300' from behind is illegals and citable no matter who or what the vehicle

Its been weird moving to the south because police here are solid blue, ems is red and construction is green for the most part. Michigan and Illinois it was red/blue and orange

Here in DFW (not sure if it's uniform throughout Texas), police all get red and blue, regular cruisers are black and white either crown vics, chargers, or the new Tauruses. Sheriffs or Lts. I believe get the Tahoes, also black and white. Fire chiefs get a red marked Tahoe, not sure what lights they get since I've never seen them on, but they don't drive white cars here. I recall seeing a yellow EMS vehicle once, but ambulances also have red and blue lights. Construction gets blue lights.
