    Lol I hear ya on that. That's why I started building up my daily for autocross, may not be fast by it'll be fun! Then there's days its nice to kick bak in the Rio with the ac on and still get 40mpg without trying.
    Guess I'm a little off topic tho. We're here cuz your vette is wanting some naws! Lol

    Cast pistons until the Lt1 came out then it was all about the hypereutectic and high compression

    That's a good article.
    Main thing I've learned about hypereutectic pistons is they have a higher silicone content. They're not much weaker than cast but don't hold up to heat as well. So either way your durability would be about the same when it comes to nitrous.
    If it was pinging like you said it may have weakened your pistons a bit, a nitrous shot might be enough to break something that's already a little stressed. However with this being your backup backup dd I'd say it'll handle it lol. Just keep it fueled up n keep the timing right, the amount your looking to spray shouldn't have any force like the one in the article lol unless you hit it in low RPMs
