Default Had an interesting encounter today

So today I'm at my school, and the head instructor brings in these two guys and their truck. He looks at me and the other guy in the shop and says "who wants to do me a favor and do an oil change on this truck?". I wasn't doing anything so I said "sure, I'll do it". As I was under the truck just about to take the oil filter off, the guy says "how's it going under there James Morris" (our tool boxes have our names on them. Who calls someone by their full name while they are under a vehicle working on something?) When I was done and had everything picked up and cleaned up, the guy who owns the truck comes up to me and says "I think I owe you some money, do you have 2 20's in your pocket?" I said "don't worry about it sir" He says a little more assertively "Do you have 2 20's" I said "No sir, don't worry about it, I was happy to do the job"

I didn't find out until after these guys had left that the guy who owns the truck I did the oil change on is Brian Corradi, the crew chief for the Matco tools top fuel dragster.

That's how it is when you're making that crew chief money lol. Just think, my instructors know a lot more people like that who are pretty big time in the industry. As long as I bust my ass like I always do, it should be gravy to go just about anywhere I want to.
