I see you're running 227s on a 396. I am also going to venture a guess that you are spraying your set-up. My concern with the 227s is loss of low rpm intake velocity, and I don't think I have enough cam to drive them either, hence my musings on the 195/210s. Would you mind throwing me a part number for your intake manifold so I can at least investigate that route. I really didn't want to go with a carb, but won't rule it out yet. Anyway, thanks for looking!Frank

Ability to run a larger bore would have been the biggest benefit. We are typically limited to 4.060ish.

SHP blocks can be ordered with a BBC cam tunnel for no extra cost IIRC. Not a huge benefit but definitely one for the high rpm N/A guys wanting an SB2.2 setup. Just wishes and dreams now!
