It was because I had it mounted in the headlight bucket and was rubbing the hood which eventually knocked it off

I bought a $40 mount off ebay and suctioned it to the c-pillar. Drove 40-ish mph around Michigan International Speedway and it stayed on with no problems. I also had it mounted to the inside of my windshield while I drove to MIS and it handled it perfectly. There's definitely some vibrations though, no doubt about that. And keep in mind the video below is using an Olympus 10mp camera that I got back in 2005.

@OP: Did you end up buying one? If you didn't, I was looking at alternatives and this one looks just as good as the GoPro, if not better.
It's called the Sony HD Action Cam
Here's some footage I found on YouTube, looks a lot better then the GoPro's....

Where to get it, http://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/sto...52921666484197 (only 280 compared to 400 for the GoPro)
What I still don't understand is, how do they make the GoPro look so good on TV???Last edited by HAND HERPES; 11-29-2012 at 09:59 PM.
