    Default OCMD?

Fall Ocean City MD this weekend, anyone headin down? I may go down fri. or sat. night. Only an hour from where I live, so I can day trip it. The garage queen is STILL not on the road so I will be firebird-less.

Damn, why do all these events have to be so far away from MA!

I was there, rolling around in my TBSS. I love taking that down there, it gets a ton of attention. I saw quite a few LTx cars there. In a way, the Fall cruise is better than Spring. However, I didn't think so this time around.

Much less vacationer traffic (mini vans, etc) mixed in with the cars. Usually the same if not a little of a turnout, resulting in more cruising and more fun. Baltimore wasn't closed down at all this weekend because the volume wasn't so ridiculous like in May.

Spring traffic is crazy. I didn't even want to cruise in the Spring on Fri and Sat because of how bad the traffic was everywhere. That's not cool when you have something that likes to overheat in 70* weather when you sit for more than 15min. I actually burned LESS gas (a full tank less lol) because I wasn't sitting and idling in traffic most of the time and I did the same amount of cruising. Also, the water is warm in October.

As for this year, too many accidents and police everywhere (no offense).

Yes, I lurk on ltxtech quite a bit!

"Horsepower Hotel" is closed, which I was very surprised by since most other places are open and I know how it's loaded with cars there for the spring cruise. I think you'd enjoy it. I mean, who doesn't enjoy a beach trip where the main focus is cars? I stayed at Castaway's, which is a camping/RV resort about 10min from the inlet, right off of Rt50. I stayed in a cottage there. Tiki bar right on the bay, 10ft from the water. I love that place lol.

I will really look into it for next year... I know about 50% of the horsepower hotel does go to the fall event... just not sure where they stay.
