well that is one i will debate.... my trans is a fully functioning t56, you know all 6 gears, that work, etc.... the only car that i know has gone quicker is honeycutt's ls racecar. which only has 4 forward gears. in it. as well, i am not even sure what his quickest time with the 6spd is, was it 8.69??? he has had a doug nash in the car at one point, so i don't know if he even still has a t56 in his car.
so to answer your question, yes to both if you think a t56 should have 6 forward gears, and only lt1 if you consider a t56 is a t56 is a t56, regardless of having 4 or 6 speeds.

u can't go wrong with aftermarket fuel management, but the price seems a bit high. i love my XFI and wouldn't trade it for shit. but i guess the BS3's are great for boosted app. cars.8.81 @ 155.05 mph , 1.30 60'

For the sake of dollars I am hoping to just stay with the OBD1 conversion...Still waiting for him to put the OBD2 computer and knock sensor back in and compare it to the drivability he tuned in the OBD1 set up... if the OBD1 is clearly better than the OBD2 set up... ITs done....(for now)....
Im all over the place, and honestly I really didnt want to add 3g to what my bill is already.... so fingers crossed he sees how bad drivability was when I dropped it off, and realizes that the 80% he tuned into the new set up is HEAVEN... lol

sounds like you will be the judge of that. i know what you mean by driveability, a little roughness is no big deal. look at me i drive my 396 solid roller all over! just a little valve maintenance and i still get to enjoy the car. honestly this has been the best year with the car in a few years. have driven the wheels off of it, new bests on motor and spray. so i am quite pleased. still another chance to get her out on spray in a couple of weeks. i hope to then swap the gear so i can get it out on the motor one more time. i still desperately want that single digit all motor slip. 10.05 in 2500 da, should get me a 9.9x in 1000 ft DA.
