Sure I'd have one if I could ever afford one but it upsets me there's not a true performance minded car out there and the Mustang looks to be at the top. Ford seems like they want to compete but overall they still just want the cars to look "pretty" and be "stylish". I wish they'd all get in a horsepower war again like back in the day.

And the prices keep getting higher and higher too....

Problem with them building towards "true performance minded enthusiasts" is that they already tried it and it failed... horribly... with a car we're all very familiar with... the 4th gen. The 4th gen FBody was a performance guy's dream. Faster than most of the cars out there, easily beating the Mustang at every red light, and yet it BARELY survived into 98 to get the facelift and then of course the death in 2002...

They also tried it with the G8... IMHO one of the best affordable performance 4 doors GM built in a long time... And it also failed, miserably, in sales...

The Camaro and Mustang need the secretaries to buy the cars so that there's enough sales in addition to the enthusiasts. I'm not including the Challenger because they have thus far been such a limited production vehicle, their sales are no where near the Camaro or the Mustang and it's hard to even put it on the same level.

I have a 2012 Camaro - I think it's one of the hottest cars out on the street. Plus after having my ass handed to me by a v6 Camaro while I was driving my cammed LT1, I have a new respect for the top end those direct injected v6 motors have. And then of course there's the ZL1 - the baddest street-legal Camaro ever built by GM.... EASILY handing the GT500 it's ass in every magazine review thus far. It's amazing that all you have to do is a pulley change and you're at the same straightline performance as the GT500...

PS - As a GM employee working at GM World Headquarters, the opinions and viewpoints in this post are my own and not a viewpoint by General Motors co.

I heard rumor of a chevy Verizon of the G8. Believe they called it just chevy ss. Could be false but wouldn't mind seeing what chevy puts towards this new sedan.

The Chevy version of the G8 would be the Caprice -- currently only available in the Police Pursuit Vehicle (PPV) package - sold only to government agencies. I personally would LOVE to see them bring the Caprice out to the general public and ditch the whole "Chevrolet SS" car entirely... I absolutely loathe the idea of them having a car being called the "SS"...

Although on the flip side - the Chevrolet SS concept car was sexy. http://mifbody.com/gallery/index.php...MShow-176.html

Amen black and red boss 302 Laguna seca or the lime green regular boss. On yeah. The two key idea is awesome and has been used by supercar companies for many years

GMHTP just had one that made 589 with bolt ons. It seems like it was built on a Wednesday judging by the baseline.

We have a 06 3.6L CTS and its a badass little car. I want a V, though. In a very bad way lol. I think one of those would be awesome on a road course. Sounds like fun to me.

    1997 Camaro Z28

Lots of visual horsepower, full bolt-ons, and a little spray....
