    Default 11.04 @ 122

I figured I'd post this here as well since many of you do not visit LS1tech. Enjoy!

I'm so close to 10s...it's driving me nuts.

Went to Cecil County Raceway in MD tonight. Had good air (about 60-degrees at the time of the two runs I did make before getting booted for no cage) and okay track prep.

Two days ago, I finished the install of my Wolfe rear solid swaybar, which, IMO, is hands down the best suspension modification a drag racer could do. When properly adjusted, the car leaves straight as an arrow. Before, I had alot of left-hand pull while the car meandered down the track. That's a thing of the past. 60's tonight were 1.54 and 1.57 (best to date is a 1.52) respectively, spinning just a bit each time.

Someone else filmed the 11.04 run, so I'll post the vid of that once it's available. Here's a video of the second run of the night, an 11.11.

For those that don't know, the car is an AI heads/cam/383 + bolt-ons through a 4L60E and Ford 9". Still untuned and still under-geared.

Congrats on the great times. Agreed on the wolf rear drag bar...straight as an arrow.

I assume your not running this with a stock tune in it are you? I can't believe you have not tuned that car yet. I would be dying to get that tuned if I were you. Hell, I don't even think I would risk racing it unless it was tuned. I am curious to the rwhp numbers the combo will put down.

You better get it tuned before the hot weather arrives as that will make it that much more difficult to get into the 10's.

In the video it looked like the ass end squatted twice right on the start. You might want to adjust the rear shocks. What rpm are you going through the traps at? Your car has EASY 10's in it as it sits. That 60 can come down even more.

That's what stock 80k mile springs and shocks do. I'm picking up a set of the Comp Engineering rear shocks soon.

I'm pulling through the traps right around 6100.

It's not the stock tune...just a mail-order. There aren't any decent LT1 tuners in the area, so I have to wait until Bryan from PCMforless.com makes a trip to the area in a few weeks. I feel ya on getting it tuned when it's cool out.

I got a new set of springs for my car at the local NAPA. They were cheap iirc, like $40 for the pair. They are a progressive wound spring that get stiffer as they near the bottom. The comp shocks are a good choice too. You could use some more gear, but see if a friend has a set of 1" smaller rear tires you can borrow for a run or 2. That would help the 60 a bit and get you quicker into the powerband. Car sounds great BTW

Never had it to the dyno to be honest. Like I said, it's still un-tuned (only a mail-order). Once Bryan from PCMforless.com makes it out to the east coast in a few weeks, he'll finally get it tuned.

The heads are the ported stock castings in the 200cc variety.
