Well, I am assuming GM will learn from what they have gotten from the Dmax program and apply it to the DI stuff, as its very similar. Not sure how the gas high pressure pump will be working but stock diesel just has a draw straw in tank, nothing else. So the high pressure side is all there really is. Would be incredibly funny if they managed to rework a CP3 pump in to it for high pressure.
Again, based off diesel world, you can crank your rail pressure and rate, but you will out grow injectors, hence the 30%, 40% etc over sticks, and they ain't cheap. Microfinished tips and made to cycle at crazy pressures won't be cheap.
Not to be a downer, just hoping that GM did their homework on this one, or else their gonna be paying catch up soon.
