What kind of friends particularly? I've also got a spare LT1 block I'm looking to build up slowly and I just don't care for the machine shops around here. Last time it took them a month and some change to put in freeze plugs, cam bearings, and deglaze my cylinders.
My friend complains about the same thing where machine shops are concerned. Just some 4wd friends.
