I test fitted Finnv3's wheels on my car before he bought them. I used washers as spacers and just kept on stacking them until the wheel fit without needing to sand on the axle or inner hub of the wheel. Came out to be 1/4" on my car. You could always sand the wheel hub, but then its cutting it awfully close to the bumpstop. IMO I'd NEVER go much above a 1/4" spacer without getting nice ones from Skulte. I'd get a set of 1/4" Trans-Dapt spacers that sell for $15 on Summit's site. 1" would be WAY too much and put you sticking out the wheelwell. Fronts fitted no problems. For tires, stock C5 vettes use a 245/35/17 front and 275/40/18 rear. Took these wheels to a local tire shop (I'm friends with the manager) and he did some looking and recommended a 245/40/17 front and 275/35/18 rear. I like a little more sidewall than that, so I settled on looking for a 285 or 295/35/18.
I sold them to Finnv3after realizing that I need some 315s for what I want to do
, a 17 would give me a little more sidewall and DRs are easier to find also.
Hope that helps.
