yea its hard to find a good parts counter person who is willing to actually dig through the parts books. I usually get the excuse, uh sorry sir we dont have books anymore.
This one time, when I first started working at Pepboys, this guy came in with a shock, and he said find me this, and I said what is it, and he said I will tell you if you find it.
So after about 2 hours looking through the shock catalog I found one with similar dimensions and we pulled it out and the mounts were wrong, so we finally found one with the right on mount on one side, and a similar one on the other. so he tells me thanks man, you are the first person who actually helped me and didnt call the manager or call a help line.
so he told me what the shock was off of... an AC Cobra replica.
it was pretty cool, he showed me pictures of the car and after that he would always go to me for parts.
I just dont understand why part counter people are so lazy now. I know when I was in their shoes, it was either look up parts and help customers or go face and front product which was no fun. so how do they get away with just standing in front of the counter97 Trans Am WS6, LT1 factory 4bolt freak, M6,
