Bolt on LS1 Z28
This is a friend of mine. We've been wanting to line them up since I've got mine and got the chance to do it last night.
He has SLP Lid / intake, Magnaflow catback, and a Hurst shifter is all I think on the car.
First 2 times out of the hole he got me about half a car because I spun baaadddd
Seems MT ET Streets wont even hook on brand new slick blacktop.
I altered my launch technique and although it wasn't nearly as hard as I can launch when I didn't spin I jumped him out of the hole and got him by 1.5 at the stripe.
We went from a 40 roll and I jumped out a little on the hit because of my gears, maybe a fender, and we just stayed dead locked all the way past 100. Neither car gave an inch.
It was cool, I thought the mighty ls1 would top end me. Especially since his car is one of those that runs very well for minimal mods and he is an extraordinary driver. He gets it out of the hole amazingly well for street tires.
Cool to know I have the top end of a bolt on ls1 now. Alls it took was letting the car breathe with some headers. She loves the upper rpms now
