:-D
Ohhh this is a good one.. So I spent the day tearing apart my motor... stripped the heads/intake/accessories off of it. Does anyone want to venture a guess on how my cylinders looked on my 152,000 mile stock long block that has had a cc306 with a misfire running rich for the past 20,000 miles as compared to my 6800 mile shortblock that I already posted pics of...?
Pics to come
edit: btw it was fucking amazing being able to work on my own car again.

Some more...

Didn't do too much else today, cleaned up some parts and the accessory bracket and swapped some sensors for new ones.

But if it comes down to that other block needing a bore......are you going to want to be .040+ over, and you'll need new pistons to boot. I'm just tossing it out there as an alternative.
I hate you and your camaro nose though. I've tried mocking up the FMIC on my car, and there's a HUGE support behind my bumper. And I can't just toss it because the dang fog lights mount to it and those are NOT deletable IMO.

I think the hone will be fine in my case so it'll be alright, but even if not, even though I'm kinda iffy about it, I think I might be okay with going .040 over on the other block seeing as it already has so much work into it. Meh, we'll see but at the moment I'm 80% sure I'm using the block after the hone.
Yea obviously my fogs were cut out, and we also took off the HEAVY steel crash support that bolts across the length of the front end. We're still debating if we're going to stand the radiator up, simply to have the extra room. The guy that fabs for me does incredible jobs and that fricken intercooler is mounted like a beast lol.
We still gotta clean up the bumper where it was cut so it is a bit smoother. And idk why but I almost feel like sanding down the bottom part of the bumper just under where the hole is cut out (plus the paint and bumper is cracked and split down there anyways) and spray it a flat black, maybe a gloss but I doubt it. It would kinda be like how the black berger panels would be on the back.
I'll try and photoshop something to explain better

My heads apparently needed more work than I had hoped so there's about 250$ being spent at the machine shop for the heads.
I think those are done but haven't contacted them yet.
The shortblock has been honed and the machinist said it came out great (my apologies for my overreaction about how that would come out *inserts foot in mouth*) but it wont be reassembled until monday.
ETA... uhm... uh... 1 week? 2 weeks? lol
