battery could be low
i have seen brand new starters with bad solenoids. could be possibility.
also could be neutral safety switch. had this issue with my jeep.. only way it would start would be if i jumped the wires on the starter solenoid. and yes it would click some times, and not spin others.
try to jump the two wire on the start (with the car in the air and properly supported of course). if it starts check the NSW wiring, or get another starter.

How did you test the battery? I would first put some jumper cables on it. If that does not work put a socket on the crank shaft and turn it to the right about 1/8 of a turn, then try to start it. If it does not start after all that try replacing the starter. I had the same problem ended up being a cracked flex plate. It was a good reason to put on a SFI flex plate.

Nah. Just clicks once or only when I turn the key. I had the battery checked about a month or so ago when I began to notice my starting problem. Checked out good. ssclone I'm going to check out the netrual switch this weekend. I've already spent too much time under this car. I'd like to drive the damn thing! lol!! My friends tell me it's a waste of a nice car to be sitting in the garage all the time.

I could also be the ignition switch. they will do funny things. When mine went bad the car would crank but not start, and if it started it would only run on 2 or 3 cylinders. Its a common problem with these cars. Its the same switch that GM used from 71-97, and i dont think they will take the power these new cars need. Its on top of the steering column, under the dash.
