Default OBDII guys, what software are you using?

Getting a lil tired of the down time with mail orders and not having a good local tuner. Any recomendations?

    Thanks

i got tired of waiting for tunercats to come out with the obdII version and wasn't going to pay for the lt1 edit so i switched. tunercats had an obdII released for a short time then sold the rights.

They sold the rights to JET... Who bundled it into their new(ish) dynamic spectrum tuner. Its actually a nice package that can datalog as well.

I cant tell you how nice it is to be able to datalog and then make changes without switching between programs. Only thing lacking is RTT

FWIW, EFI live can handle OBD2 LT1 cars as well. But it cannot log some of the parameters that are nice to have.

$500 is a lil hard to bite for jet's package....

with Efi and hptuners you can do WOT tuning on lt1 cars but thats about it. its very limited.

I just got this package... looks like a rebadged Tunercats (which I had used for my old 95Z... and I liked it). Once I get the OBD 2 port working I should be in good shape.

The nice part about Jet/Tunercats is that you aren't vin locked to one vehicle like LT1 Edit, you get for 4 licenses to use.........any more than 4 vehicles and you need to order additional licenses..

I was just about to start a thread for this same topic, glad you beat me to it! So EFI Live will work on an LT1. I will be going with a mail order from Madz28 for a cammmed/full bolt on car, but I wanted to look into software to build on Ion's tune. Who else has any suggestions for OBD2?

i have the Jet DST software and so far i like it, fairly straight forward to use, but i haven't figured out the datalogging. don't even know where to access it.

Pretty sure jet does not have a data logger built in, but the ecm pro from westersgarage will work with it. Atleast the guys from tunercat told me this.
