Terminator Salvation...
Well, now that I have seen Star Trek, the only big one left I wanted to see was Terminator Salvation which I saw last night.
It was awesome! Visual effects, story, and characters were great. Being a big terminator fan I had some big expectations for this film to be met, and they were. Anyone else thinking about going and seeing it should.
On a side note, I do think that Star Trek was probably better, but Star Trek was just phenominal.
I also saw that they were coming out with a PS3/XBOX360 Terminator Salvation game. It looked pretty sweet as well.1995 Z28 - disfunctional now, perhaps insane after its "treatment"

i totally agree with you on Terminator Salvation. Rotten Tomatoes only gave it a 33% which isn't fair imo. i'd see it again lol
star trek was entertaining, but to me, it got kind of "high school." i sometimes felt like i was watching a fast and furious movie95 T/A M6

I saw it last night. It was good, but was pretty predictable. I did like the computerized Arnold though. lol.

I'm really suprized it got that low of ratings. It's definatly my favorite Terminator, and I liked all of them (maybe 3 a little less).
Definatly a badass flick!1995 Z28 - disfunctional now, perhaps insane after its "treatment"

Yeah, it ruled. T2 still takes the cake (and T3 never happened) but I was not disappointed.
Also surprised at the low ratings?!

T2 was definatly created as a winner from day one. But from the first time I saw Terminator 1 (which was also the only Terminator movie at that time), I always wanted to see what really happened in the future as far as the war against the machines after Judgement day. Being a big Christian Bale fan as well made a big difference as well. This delivered just what I wanted.
There is small talk from Bale and the producer of Terminator Salvation that they might do another film. I'm sure some of that will depend on the success of the latest movie. I would love more than anything to see another one of these with Bale in it again.
One thing I was hoping they would do a little stronger was the Terminator score (theme). For T2 they re-did the Terminator theme great. I was hoping for another stronger re-mix of the theme, but in T4 they seemed to have almost dimmed down the theme a little.
One other thing I thought was really great in this film is the lighting and effects they used. A lot of brights with some darks and great shadows. I am always looking the filmography when I see movies, and I love the way they did this.
