Default Those running high lift cams

Im finishing the valetrain on my heads and im down to purchasing some springs. With .678 lift on both int and exh im probably looking 240+lbs of seat pressure. What valve springs have you guys hads good luck with. Im dont think I'll be using Comp but probably ISKY or some other manuf.

It would help if I knew what cam you're running. I'd need to know more than just the lift.

I run a 108 LSA cam in my 355 in my pickup, its a bitch to get a carb idle bleeds right for it. anyway as far as springs I run a 1220 beehive in my car with over 610 lift but it is a hydrolic roller and they do fine.

what is the spring diameter and installed height. I am running comp 943 on my AFR 220 with a 1.9 installed height. You want to make sure you valve springs are correctly match to the cam/heads/valvetrain to avoid "issues".

Yes, CompCams 943 springs or their 998s are possible choices. They are recommended by CompCams for some of their road race and drag race cams of similar specs.

Do you have the cam card? If you have the cam card, the recommended springs should be listed on it.

If you don't have the card, a word of caution is in order; since you'll be running so much cam it would be best to call CompCams to see what they say.

Yea, i have the cam card but the recomended springs or installed height is not listed. What m gathering thus far is that im going to have a at least 240+lbs of seat pressure with the cam. i may pick up some 1.5's to reduce the lift so i wont have to run such a stout spring.
