What would be a fair price?
I have a 94 LT1 with a blown head gasket that has 117k miles on it. It hasn't been confirmed but from some of the things it's done it may have some internal damage. I'm looking to sell it once it's pulled from the car. A guy is interested in buying it to make into a 383. I have no clue how much a messed up lt1 is... Any one know what would be a fair asking price?

Depends on what condition the body, interior, and paint is in. It also depends on your area and what cars are going for around you. I almost bought a 95 Z28 with a blown HG for 1500, it was in decent shape.

Id say 400 if the heads arent warped too bad or cracked and the block is still good.

It's the long block with the valve covers. $400 is more than I expected but that's certainly not a bad thing.

I got mine with a good bottom end for $100. He literally couldn't get rid of it. Nobody wanted it. I was local, he said a hundred, I was there the next day.

I'd say you should be able to expect $200 - $250 for it.
