There are already TONS of blogs out there. If I want to read up on GM news I'll go to GMInsideNews. If I want to read up on Corvettes I'll go to Corvette Blog, If I want to read up on general automotive I'll go to Jalopnik or Autoblog.

There's enough information for a LTx Blog (though I don't feel we need one) from Picture of the Month announcements (with the picture of the car) Member features (pics/information/story on thier ride), new sponsor announcements, LTx Shootout, new product reviews, etc.

The way it is now gets people into the forums, if they are new regestrants and came here via a blog posting.
I was simply talking about a "quick reply" type javascript that will allow you to post from the front page and your post will show up as a comment in that thread.

Whoa buddy relax. I understand there are tons of blogs available. I'm trying to give our users more content and if keeping them here reading articles is going to make some of our userbase happy, then I'll stick to it. I understand there is good info for the LTX crowd only, but I'm looking to have at least 5 or more articles daily. That's not even that many. If I can get 5 solid LTX related articles a day, then by all means I'll stick to it.

I understand the qhole quick reply aspect, but is it really that much more effort to click "reply" or "read more" to post your comment

Eric I see where you are coming from, but.. How many users go to those blogs? Maybe you know about them, but that is because you are more internet savvy then most of the members on this forum.

If we bring them news, whether its a re-post from another blog or not, it's still news. I feel that we are doing a service to our members and sponsors. Some of the posts we will be sharing with the community will be unique to our site, and some will be re-posts from other sites. Some of those re-posts may have even been over looked by casual blog readers such as yourself. That would make it news for you too!

I'll be adding more content as the day goes on. Check back for updates!!

Thanks, I've been tweaking it slowly and it's getting to a good point for me. I've been adding posts too!
