94Z Vs My Brothers 90 Supercoupe
My brother and I have been going at it all winter about who's car is faster, he has a 1990 T-Bird Supercoupe, running roughly 14-15 PSI with a smaller pulley on a stock blower (About maxed out) with an upgraded intercooler, shift kit and 3.23's.
I've drove the car, it's not as slow as I thought so I was a little worried.
My Z is pretty much stock except for 3" from the cat back....so I think.
So I got him to take it out yesterday, it was probably 30 degree's out so I figured his S/C would benefit.
I followed him out onto a 2 lane highway that isnt used much and told him we'd do a 40 roll since its so cold and neither of us would of had traction from a dig.
We get up to 40 or so, 3 honks and my car instantly jumps a car ahead of his and begins to pull away, by 5 seconds I was 3 and by the time I hit 80 to 90 mph he was in my rear view mirror probably 5-6 cars behind me.
I kinda feel bad because on the Super Coupe forum he's on the guys have been telling him up and down he'll waste my "Little LT1" because its not an LS1 but then again it is kind of funny how people doubt these cars.
He wouldnt talk to me for over an hour and claims I have more done to it than just a little exhaust work.
Track opens next month so were going to run them there but I'm not too worried, mainly because I'll have at least a K&N intake and a 100 shot by then.
Next will be LT's, true duals, dual cutout's and a yank 3600 stall, although I'd like to run my car the way it is just to see what it run's.
Anyway nothing impressive, just the highlight of my day
We will see

I bet that supercoupe weighs more than your car too
If I came up on an s/c on the street and it beat me I would end my life. Sounds like you're just out having a good time!

lmfao.
It's actually 3600 lbs so not too far off, and I figured with the upped boost, better intercooler ect it would of done better but damn, it got walked like a dog.
Yeah we were just out having a good time, or at least I was....he didnt seem too happy when we got back to the house.
I'm not sure if it was torque or what that won the race because he has 230HP with stock boost, something like 9 PSI and a restrictive stock intercooler.
Oh well, it was fun and now he has idea's for upgrades.

They do like, 330 ft lbs in stock trim. My friend did a blower and accessory swap off one onto his 94 V6 stang.

A buddy of mine put the supercoupe blower on his V6 Stang. He thinks he'll be able to take me. I find it amusing. He has some bolt ons but come on. IF he got a 100% return on a STOCK blower (ludicrous) he would make 290 crank. CRANK! I make 283 wheel with 323 ft lbs. Yeeeeah. And he's going through the auto.
