Went in to take a look today and they have it over in their bodyshop. I'm assuming to look it over and clean it up since it didn't appear to be damaged at all in any of the photos. Possibly going back monday. Thanks for the links too.

You couldnt ever get me to personnaly own a S-chassis blazer/jimmy. Those trucks are complete garbage, the drivetrain is junk, the bodys are very poorly made, terrible fit and finish, and they shake/rattle and roll horribly. This is why i went with an Envoy (trailblazer) and it has no such problems, is quiet and comfortable.

Hmm well I'll keep that in mind but right now it's just cost, reliability and function that I'm looking for. I can deal with some rattles and what not as long as it isn't falling apart and the drivetrain is going to hold up for a while.

I agree, the rattles are HORRIBLE!!!! The older 97- s-series didn't have that issue at all, but both my mom and I have '01s and they rattle like crazy. Then again... nothing a little sticky foam or adhesive velvet can't solve. I just have another truck that I prefer to work on.

Body fit Other than plastic deteriorating on the blazers if not well kept.

The drive-train to me is the same as any other GM. The 4.3l is just a chevy 350, the 4l60 and rear are same as F-body. I wouldn't EXPECT 200k or 300k miles... but it's not unheard of.

So is it just interior pieces that rattle? Maybe I would just have to pinpoint the sounds and then use some sticky foam or something like you mentioned?

Also, this one I'm looking at has a small lift kit and slightly larger tires. I'm not sure if it's a suspension lift or body lift yet.

    On '01 2dr blazer....
center console rattles (both by tape deck, and the lid <because I lean on it>,
Rear trim peice over the spare tire rattles,
if spare tire isn't cranked down it shakes and squeeks,
plastic panels by the B-pillar rattle the MOST out of anything... on both sides. Partly the ash tray... well, when you wedge paper into the ash tray it stops.

I have had an annoyed passenger "fix" just about all of the rattles using folded pieces of paper on a small trip.

Haha after driving an f-body for about 4-5 years, I think I can handle some squeaks and rattles, but if it's really that bad, at least they are fixable.
