Higher volume from passenger speakers?

Does anyone else notice the passenger side volume is much louder than the driver side or is it just my car? The reason I say this is because I have brand new head unit with new speakers in the front and it still sounds the same. My old V6 was louder on the passenger side too. Any way to fix this?

And YES, it's clearly louder on the other side, not just my imagination.

Does it have to do with the height of your noodle compared the where the sound waves strike your ear drum? Like the drivers side is shooting across to the passenger side, visa-versa.....

Nope. I thought it was the same way, but I sat in the passenger seat while my friend drove the other day and its way louder.. It hurt my ears actually on the same volume level that is comfortable to me on the drivers side.

Use the head unit and fade the sound to come more from the drivers side and less from the passenger side until it evens out.

Mine's fine but they have a balance adjuster for that. I've got my balance adjusted slightly to the passenger side on the Z71 because the DS speaker is blown. I also turned the bass down (tweeter on DS seems fine)

I'll replace the speaker spring break, already bought a new one for it.

I just noticed this in my car. First time I listened to the radio since I got it.
It is BAD. My left middle speaker hardly puts out sound, but doesnt sound busted.

if you have the Bose or Monsoon system there might be bad channels on the amps. If not, then the balance might be tweaked to the right. if its center then adjust it to the left until it evens out. (fade is front/back)
