why is it when good news come shit hits the fan 20 minutes later??

daughter was accepted to vo-tech for automotive! YAY! 20 minutes later she rolls/sprains her ankle bad enough for a hospital trip/crutches and a boot for 4 weeks, smh.

started working on this on Sunday, ended up smashing the shit out of my pinky finger. ugh. rear shocks and springs installed. the stock springs were cut so short it wasn't funny

will keep plugging away at it this week

    UPDATE

car is back together and is much better handling. thank you @JOATMON for the springs. we are both very happy so far with the stance. front seems a little high but hopefully settles. car rides much better now with the springs and koni str.t budget shocks (bilstein comparable)

few pics below. remember the rear is a 28" tire, so it fills the well out. MAY buy a global West 1/2" rear springs spacer pair from strano. still hits the bump stops with a full tank. may need a air bag for when family is in car top down full tank.

next we are changing plugs and installing a innovate wideband i got from a buddy cheap, also a glowshift oil pressure gauge for good measure.

also, check out the passenger side front spring. he said he cut them but jesus, he left the cut coil on the passenger side on the shock!!

i will say this: even base tuned, this car is a quick little thing with the 4.10's

I'm glad the springs worked out for ya'll. i was afraid my Hooker Blackheart true dual system was gonna drag on stuff if I lowered mine.
I do love the stance though and I really love the looks of your daughters car. I LIKE the hood scoop and the paint scheme and the wheel tire combo. It's a damned good looking car.

Oh, P.S.- Your comment on the quickness of the car with 4.10's reminded me of a spanking I got in a street race a long time ago.
I had a '70 Dodge Challenger back then with a big cammed 340 and a four speed with 3.23's.
Raced a guy from a roll one night, me behind him leaving a stop light. He was in a early 70's Chevy Nova. He walked off from me up to about 80 or so when we had to stop again. I flagged him to stop and we talked for a bit in a parking lot. Come to find out he had a junkyard 307 SBC that he had re-ringed and put a NAPA cam in it. It had a stock intake and a TWO BARREL carb. He told me it surprised alot of people and he praised his Uncle for helping him put 4.10 gears in the rear.

4th Gen F-body Hooker Blackheart True Dual Exhaust Install
I know what you mean about the dual/dual tips. They are so disco-era looking. I had fully intended to use a straight polished stainless tip in place of the Hooker dual/dual tips until I discovered that the exhaust placement left to right is off-centered due to the rear muffler design here. In order to fit the mufflers in the space available they used the dual tips offset to center the exit and they also follow the contour of the rear bumper cap. Sooo, I'm just stuck with the disco dual/dual. If you look at the last photo on post #2 of the thread you can see the goofy offset.

plugs changed trans mount changed. still need to get the wideband in. strongly considering the bmr 200lb road race rear springs to stiffen it up, as it does squat with everyone in the car. but rides much better now

took it to its first show, it was a quick wash and spray wax kind of day. need another adjustable torque arm to fix this pinion angle vibration.

also started installing the wideband but didnt complete yet due to the rain last weekend. need to have both doors open for wiring
