Hey, Merry Christmas. Nice work bench. Mine are nearly the same, down both walls of the shop. If you decide to mount the vice, mount it close to the leg and double the plywood under it. Then use long 1/2" bolts all the way through with thick washers. (This is what I did to mine after a serious hammer beating session nearly broke it off the bench. Thennnn, after reinforcing the bench mount, I broke the vise in half. LOL, Harbor Freight wouldn't warranty it. I bought a beefier vise and haven't broken it YET.

Pile of stuff on a bench can only mean one thing

After a rough start realizing my argon was empty, snagged a new fill at lunch today

Then I managed to snap the bolt on my Vband, but metal hot glue gun and a old bolt made short work of that

Much more room now, and can actually get a wrench on crank to do rockers etc. Previously compressor housing was about ten mils off balancer.

Downside, is radiator is shoved hard up against the car and turbo is tight

Should I just chop front off and get the RSM front end? Probably.

Tilt the rad forward by drilling 3 new holes in the upper rad support. It'll probably clear the hood.

This is with the rad hard up against upper area.

After a lot of going back and forth with myself.. decided to cut. Will need to figure out top mounts, but bottom is mounted to lower rad support. Gotta finish up the hose roughing in then take everything out to clean up edges and weld hotside.

Now have clearance on both sides of compressor housing
